Cultivate Connection: February

For Kyle and I, marriage has been pretty much the best thing ever. Now don't get me wrong, it hasn't been easy but for us but it has only been a life-giving blessing. I want to help you cultivate connection in your marriage and relationships so I created these monthly prompts to give you a jumping off point. And with each post, I will also be sharing a quick thing that I think has helped our marriage thrive.

February's Tip: Sync your days

For us, this started out of necessity. The first 6 months that we were married, our schedules were opposite. Kyle is high school teacher and I worked at trader joes while getting my business up and running. Aka kyle worked days and I worked nights and weekends. And we never had the same day off.

In order to see one another, I would get up with him at 5:30 am before he went to work, and he would stay up for me when I got home later that night around 11 pm. We didn't get much sleep but it was worth it so we could spend some time together.

Once I went full time with my wedding photography business, our schedules were more aligned but we still decided to keep our schedules synced (but now we are for sure asleep by 9:30). It has allowed us sweet moments together that we wouldn't have if we didn't do this.

I hope this little tip and insight into our marriage is helpful and that you enjoy these prompts!
