Orange County Engagement | Japan Wedding Photographer

Customizable backdrops. Your favorite jam blaring. Eight of your favorite friends arranged in a very particular order. Yup, I’m talking about myspace (RIP). The very place where Kenya and Moises met through a mutual friend. But it wasn’t Kenya’s cool backdrop or Moises song that bonded the two together. It was that they simply liked talking. Kenya loved Moises’ quiet kind manner, and he loved her passionate fun personality.

Coincidentally, a couple weeks after they started messaging on myspace, Kenya transferred to Moises’ high school. It didn’t take many passing glances in the hallway or chats after class, for them to start dating.

Years later, Moises was ready to pop the question to his high school sweetheart but he had to be really sneaky because Kenya always catches on to his surprises. So he got his friends in on it.

One day after work, their friends suggested all four of them go on a hike because they had something to announce. As they started the hike the friends blindfolded both Kenya and Moises. But Moises walked just a little faster so he could stand up ahead. When they took off Kenya’s blindfold she saw a trail of rose petals and the love of her life standing next to a sign that said: “Will you marry me”. She was completely surprised. And couldn’t hold back the ugly cry.

It was way too much fun photographing this sweet couple! Thank you, Moises and Kenya for letting me capture 8 years of friendship and love! I can’t wait to share these images with you. Just a few of my favorites :)

Are you engaged too? I’d love to tell your story!
