Intentionally connecting with the person you love most can be hard. But I’ve got you covered with some date night ideas that are more than just your run of the mill dates. These aren’t just a list of things you could do but prompts to help you stay connected with one another and stay present in your lives. Not to mention these prompts are based on your mood! Whether you want to stay in or go out on the town, there is something for you. Here are your 5 fun date night ideas for april:
1. WHEN YOU WANT AN ADVENTURE
Go find some flowers! Spend the day wandering around a botanical garden or flower farm. Bring a picnic and eat lunch amidst the blooms! Extend your day by bringing books or even a frisbee!
2. WHEN YOU WANT TO CHAT
Brew some tea, make some coffee or pour the wine and talk about your dreams. What is something you’ve always wanted to do? If you could do anything with your time what would it be? Where would you like to travel next? What would be your perfect ordinary day? If you’ve still got some time, brainstorm some little ways you could bring these dreams into your life right now? If you want to travel to Italy next, plan a Saturday where you visit little Italy or go to an Italian restaurant for dinner.
3. WHEN YOU WANT TO GO OUT
Find live music near you! And have a long meal. Instead of each of your order one entre, stretch the meal out by ordering a couple of appetizers to share one at a time! Trying out new things can be fun and it will give you more time to enjoy the music!
4. WHEN YOU WANT TO BE CHILL BUT STILL DO SOMETHING
Go for a walk around your neighborhood. Stroll hand in hand and look at the cute homes of your neighbors. Dream about what your future home could look like or what improvements you’d like to make! Simply enjoy the fresh air and the company of the person you love most.
5. WHEN YOU WANT TO STAY IN
Revisit old memories together. Pull out your old photos and bring out the box of notes, go through your old facebook albums! Enjoy being nostalgic about when you first met and started dating and reflect on how much you’ve grown as people and in loving one another. Use this time to encourage one another!
