Denise + Andrew met in college and were quite the Romeo and Juliet. Denise attended UCLA and Andrew USC. But their love for music, dancing, and adventure helped them look past these discrepancies and allowed them to create a close friendship. But it wasn’t until after college that their friendship became something more.
Unlike most communities of friends, theirs did not fizzle out after college. Even though Denise had moved to orange county she still drove to downtown LA to go to concerts and out dancing with their friends almost every weekend. And since Andrew and his roommate Jacob lived in LA it was only natural for her to stay the night on occasion.
It was during this new one on one time together that their love began to form. Jacob, mentioned in his toast how one night after Denise left, Andrew turned to him and said, “Denise is really cool”. Soon after that they started dating.
And guys. She is really cool. They both are.
When they first inquired, she sent me a couple of her favorite images of her and Andrew. The first was of them scuba diving and the other, was a candid of them celebrating after Andrew propose at the annual camping trip. She told me how she wanted a photographer to capture real moments and great candids of dancing. And that they for sure wanted their engagement session in Joshua Tree.
I was pretty much in love with these two right from the get go.
Their wedding day was a dreamy kaleidoscope of wonderfulness. And as always they were both super chill and excited to have a good time.
Denise and Andrew wanted a day that was full of color and the people they love most. And they were serious. There was so much color and so much love. You will see the color in the images below but I’ll give you an idea their love.
Remember that tight knit community that I talked about earlier? They invited all 30 of them come early to the wedding so they could get a big group photo. And their friends were ALL right on time and so excited to be there!⠀If that doesn’t say “I love you” I don’t know what does!
And at the reception, before they had even eaten, went around and hugged every single guest at during the reception before they had even eaten! Every. Single. One. With joy and sincerity. They did this because they wanted to not because they felt like they had to.
I could go on and on about how wonderful their day was but I’ll let you see of yourself!
