Donny didn’t really know the group of people he was hanging out with. He also didn’t know who lived in the house he was at. Nor did he know he was about to me the love of his life. All he knew is that he was tired and ready to go home. As he was about to slip out the door unnoticed, he heard a sweet voice from behind him.
It said, “Hey, I don’t know you. Come here and talk to me.” Donny turned and looked behind him for the source of this voice. There it was. A pretty girl sitting on the couch wearing giant bear slippers.
The bear slippers caught his attention. But it was her long brown hair and dark eyes that made move from the door to the couch. Just for a quick chat. But that quick chat turned into hours. Neither of them noticed. Neither of them tired of the conversation. In fact, it easily moved beyond small talk to deep and meaningful things. He left the house he didn’t know, that held the people he didn’t know, assured of one thing. This girl was different. And it wasn’t just her choice of slippers.
I’ve attended church with these cuties and Donny’s very large family for a couple of years now. So I was so excited to hear they got engaged and even more ecstatic to have the privilege of capturing their love story.
And their love is so evident. Donny and Savannah have such an easy playful way with one another while at the same time being so thoughtful and passionate. They were such great sports to hike fifteen minutes into the wilderness with me so that we could have the most beautiful setting at golden hour (my couples are the best). And the journey was SO worth it!
Savannah + Donny, your love for one each other and those who are around you is inspiring! It was a joy to document your love! I can’t wait for the wedding day!
I hope you enjoy the photos!
Are you engaged too?
I’d love to tell your story
