It was only the second week of school and the campus library was full of bright eyed students. Surrounded by books and hushed tones, Candi was bright-eyed too. But it wasn’t just her studies that had her excited. She had just met a man named Bill. And she knew she wanted to marry him.
Shelby and David had planned on our session together serving as a baby announcement. I was privilege to know about their pregnancy early on because of this. Sadly their baby stopped growing and was lost. On a place that is often a highlight reel, Shelby shared their experience on Instagram with strength and grace that brought me to tears.

Friday’s were her day off, so she decided to fill her time by taking two dance classes at the local community college. Two 4 hour dance classes back to back with a one hour break for lunch in between. Jaime had also signed up for both classes.
Dressed as prince charming, he knelt down on one knee. With the Disney castle as the backdrop, he presented a glass slipper to his Cinderella. Thanks to a glass blower in Japan, it fit her perfectly. But there was still another shiny surprise.

We sat on the 91 freeway. All cars were at a dead stop. We looked at gps and our arrival time changed to 5:50. The same time as the sunset. The increasing flow of traffic must have lifted our spirits because we decided to give it a go anyway. Joshua Tree was worth it.
